JASON WINTERS
My name is Jason Winters and I have the privilege of being a Lead Pastor of Mountain View Community Church!
First a little background info for ya! I asked Jesus to be my savior when I was nine years old. Little did I know the relentless journey that was going to take place in the years to come. A few months after I gave my life to God, my father unexpectedly passed away from spinal meningitis. I immediately decided I hated God and wanted nothing to do with him. So I lived the next few years in rebellion and hatred for God. Then, when I was in junior high, my mother married Robert Denny and things began to change. I experienced the love, patience, and forgiveness of Christ through my new stepfather. No matter how hard I tried to push him away, he tried even harder to love me and see through my negativity and sin. That was how I truly came to the understanding of God’s love. I took my fists of fury and offered them to God to be hands that did his work! And that decision was what led me to where I am today.

I am madly in love with my wife, Heather. She is an incredible woman of God! We have four beautiful daughters; Nevaeh, Trinity, Selah and Faith and we consider ourselves immensely blessed!
I have been playing, composing, and recording music since the age of 14. I have release a few albums of my music and you can find it on digital music platforms. I play guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, and sing. My favorite brand of guitar is Taylor (Of Course!!!) I have a passion for leading people in worship and adoration of our awesome God. I also have a strong passion for preaching and teach the Word of God!
I also love snowboarding, fishing in the High Sierras, and going to Disneyland! My education and training for the ministry consists of a BA in biblical studies and music. I also took some seminary classes at Southern California Seminary and have completed a Masters of Divinity program at Mountain View School of Theology. I was ordained as a reverend in 2017.
I have been a part of Mountain View Community Church since the age of seven. I have seen God grow this church from 100 people that met on the corner of 9th and “E” St. to where it is today. It has been nothing short of a miracle. I have a passion for seeing souls saved, raising up disciples of Christ, and being a part of God’s story. I exist to know Christ and make Him known and see no higher calling in the world.
